LERC is a non-profit land trust that promotes cooperation between landowners, government agencies, educational institutions, the private sector and volunteers in an effort to protect and manage the Lake Erie region's natural resources.
LERC strives to identify and carry out projects that promote land conservation, access to nature-based recreation, property stewardship, environmental education and sustainable development. Through the identification and implementation of various land conservation techniques LERC is able to preserve the ecological integrity of the Lake Erie region while meeting the needs of conservation oriented landowners.

The mission of the Lake Erie Region Conservancy is to identify, conserve, and protect the Lake Erie region's unique natural and cultural resources. We also promote sustainable development through research and outreach.
